Romania and HRH The Prince of Wales: a conversation and drinks reception

by British Romanian Chamber of Commerce in London

DESCRIPTION

The British Romanian Chamber of Commerce in London has partnered with GRASP UK to host a conversation and drinks reception with Aura Woodward, Executive Director of The Prince of Wales's Foundation Romania.

Learn about HRH The Prince of Wales's longstanding passion for Romania and the charitable work of Fundatia Printul de Wales to support skills training, conservation and natural heritage throughout Transylvania and beyond.

The evening will conclude with a drinks reception supported by Halewood Wines and Spirits, the UK’s leading distributor of Romanian wine, and Aqua Carpatica, sellers of "nature's most perfect water".

About Fundatia Printul de Wales

His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales has a well-known fondness for Romania having first visited Transylvania in 1998. A passionate supporter of the countryside and keen amateur botanist, HRH discovered a rural idyll, largely lost to the UK. Since that first visit, The Prince of Wales has returned to Transylvania many times; each visit further strengthening his desire to help preserve this unique landscape, traditional architecture and way of life, which have survived for hundreds of years.

Established in 2015, Fundatia Printul de Wales takes forward the Romanian charitable work of HRH The Prince of Wales. It is based at one of the two properties owned by The Prince of Wales in Romania, via his charitable Foundation, located in the UNESCO village of Viscri, Brasov County.

Over the last three years, the Charity has developed a number of projects in the fields of heritage preservation, education, farming and sustainable development. In 2017, The Foundation launched a new major programme in support of Romania's wounded soldiers.
