We continue our year-long exploration of the Romanian Unification of 1918 with the launch of the only website in English to comprehensively tell the story of this fantastic achievement. Created by the Romanian Cultural Institute in collaboration with several partners, the website, called 'The Making of United Romania', provides an essential, dynamic and easy to access information about the creation of Greater Romania.

With opening remarks by RCI President Liliana ?uroiu and Ambassador Dan Mihalache. Interventions by RCI Director Dorian Branea, historians Florin Ardelean and Ioana Bonda, and graphic designer Cristian Luchian.

The website covers the Romanian participation in the WWI in the Allied camp, the democratic movements that led to the 1918 unification of all Romanian provinces, the recognition of United Romania at the Paris Peace Conference and the liberal design of the new Romanian state. It also pays tribute to the great men and women who made the Great Union possible.
