in data de 7 Decembrie 2006"Poetry and jazz" is a special performance of jazz and poetry, a journey through cultural Romanian reality, in a romantic & sarcastic way.
It had its premiere in Bucharest and continues the series of poetic theatre performances by Ion Caramitru. The show is part of the 'Memorable voices and performances' project, supported by UNITER and Societatea Romana de Radiodifuziune.
Poetic theatre is a genre which attracted the audience in Romania and abroad. 'Trecut-au anii...', 'Eminescu dupa ... Eminescu', Atelierul de Poezie de la Ipotesti, collaborations with Valeria Seciu, Ovidiu Iuliu Moldovan, Dan Grigore, Iosif Hertea, Aurelian Octav Popa and now with Johnny Raducanu keep the poetic theatre in public attention.
Ion Caramitru is the director of this performance, and he chose fragments from Nichita Stanescu, Tudor Arghezi, Dan Verona, Miron Radu Paraschivescu, Lucian Avramescu and Ana Blandiana.
