We are thrilled to be part of the the long awaited British debut of one of the most successful Romanian jazz groups, JazzyBIT, in concert at the legendary Soho’s Pizza Express. Don’t miss the chance to discover the “loud jazz” of the Timi?oara-based trio,  which fusions jazz, rock and hearty doses of blues and funk. JazzBIT is Teodor Pop – piano, keys, Mihai Moldoveanu – bass and Szabó Csongor-Zsolt – drums.

All About Jazz Magazine writes about JazzyBIT: “they are bringing a bit of rock attitude to catchy tunes adorned with a melodic lilt and they caught the ear with their combination of funky rhythms, tight musicianship and witty arrangements.” After winning the 2013 Newcomer Award by the Muzza Foundation Bucharest, JazzyBIT were finalists in the European Jazz Award competition of the Tuscia in Jazz Festival, in 2014. In 2016, they won the Timi?oara Jazz Award for the Group of the Year and in 2017 all members of the group received the Banat Jazz Award for the Musicians of the Year. The band has a flourishing live activity, counting almost 200 concerts in its first 6 years of existence. Until now, JazzyBIT has played in 9 countries, on 2 continents, taking part in some of the world’s biggest jazz festivals and playing in some of the most famous jazz clubs in Europe. Outside the jazz circuit, the band also played at some multi-genre festivals, such as the Sziget Festival in Hungary, the Exit Festival in Serbia or the Untold Festival in Romania. Alongside the contemporary folk group Subcarpa?i, JazzyBIT launched, in 2017, the Subcarpa?i x JazzyBIT / SUBJazz project, merging two different, but very successful musical styles.
